Ydmyk Bakeri

Former swiss cross country skier Adrian Meissner liked Norway so much he moved here five years ago. He also liked his mothers sourdough starter equally much, so he wanted to start a bakery in the small village of Mesnali, a fifteen minute drive from Lillehammer. 

Adrian specializes in small scale production of authentic, high quality sourdough breads, baguettes and cinnamon rolls. Made not only with flour, water & salt of course, but also with care, personal touch and a lot of patience. And, I was lucky to spend a little time in his bakery while photographing the process of baking with sourdough.

So thanks Adrian! For letting me camp for a few hours inside your bakery and indulge with the wonderful sight and not least, the smell of fresh bread and other baked goods! I now understand better you passion for baking!
