Amazing Grey
This spring, I planted the Shirley poppy Papaver 'Amazing Grey' in my garden for the second time—and once again, they did not disappoint! With their hauntingly beautiful purple-gray hue, they are truly a spectacle to behold. They began blooming just a few days ago, and with the recent shift from warm, dry weather to extremely wet and humid conditions, I had to improvise and buy a cheap parasol to protect their delicate petals from the heavy rain.
A big thank you to the two beautiful young women who kindly volunteered for this impromptu photoshoot, and to their mother as well! It's worth mentioning that she is an exceptionally talented floral designer. Although we only had a dozen or so blooms to work with, and not many poppies to arrange, I still believe we managed to capture some truly lovely results.
